Andrew Sneddon is a Scottish artist who lives and
works in Sheffield England. Senior Lecturer in Contemporary Fine Art
at Sheffield Hallam University, he has exhibited nationally and internationally
and is currently engaged in a practice-led PhD at Edinburgh College
of Art, Scotland.
His practice is concerned with exploring our complex relationships with
place and its representation. The experience of feeling displaced from
the familiar is an important area of investigation. The desire to locate
or find oneself in a strange place at a particular time and the images
that are created from these personal observations and experiences are
his subject matter.
